You will need shorter screws, they can get jammed if you bottom them. I don’t know the difference between the GPA and the older diaphragms I’m going to assume they use the newest lead style that is close to the surround rather than the ones that stand off. The old caps will work with either style but the new caps only work with the new style. Once you pull the screws the whole thing is loose and I have had a few where the cap was stuck to the diaphragm. I used something like a screwdriver to pry them apart but maybe the pros know a better way. I never wrecked any of mine but it would be easy to do. The only aluminum diaphragms I thought were noticeably different sounding were the light versions.
